SHERLOCK HOLMES

1)      The character that I like most is Robert Downey. He acts as Sherlock Holmes in this story.

Sherlock Holmes is a brilliant detective. This is because he has knowledge of the forensic science skills to solve the case that Lord Henry Blackwood done. He eventually discovers that Blackwood plans to kill the members of Parliament with a poisonous gas machine thus starting a civil war. He also has ability to take any disguise such as a doctor in this movie.

2)      The second character is Dr. John Watson. He is Sherlock Holmes close friend and doctor. He was a brave individual. Dr. Watson is always close to Sherlock Holmes even in the danger situation. He saves Sherlock Holmes life from the explosion trap. He is a good friend and caring person. I like his style.

3)      The third character that I like is Lord Blackwood. Lord Blackwood was played by Italian actor Mark Strong. He is a cultist and performs several human sacrifices before being brought to justice. He wishes to see Holmes in prison where he warns Holmes of three more deaths that will change the nation. He is then hanged and pronounced dead by Dr. Watson. The following night he supposedly bursts out of his tomb and runs across the cemetery, leaving the night guard catatonic. He is a brilliant psychopath and serial killer. He uses his knowledge to dominating the hearts and minds of many people in London. That why I like him.    

OPINION ABOUT THE ENDING…

I am satisfied with the ending because Lord Blackwood tricks to cheat people of London has been discovered by Sherlock Holmes.

AGAINST ALL ODDS

            Regarding to the novel ‘Against All Odds’ written by Franklin W.Dixon, the one who has almost the same characteristics with me is Frank Hardy. Frank is eighteen years old boy with dark brown hair n dark eyes who are opposite from his younger brother named Joe. Since Joe is the only younger brother that he has, make him similar to me. Moreover, Frank’s physique is tall with wiry athletic body.

            I am a steadying on my younger brother and so is Frank as he is the thinker of the pair. Frank is calm and assured which make he likes to plan before he acts. This is the characteristics make him facing all the obstacles gently and be handled with care without dragging any other problem. He is also fast on his feet and can outrun almost anyone around him. This cause has made him similar to me.

            Next coincidence between this character and me is when I read about his interesting in plowing through a course in statistics. Frank always keeps himself in his room studying numbers. This similarity of the character made him almost the same as me since I am also like to play with numbers. My course which made me been exposed to computer most of the time also can be related to Frank who is computer whiz.

            This book is about the Frank boys getting them involved in a case of a disappearing stallion. They realize that there is more riding on this crime than they first thought. From arson to attempted murder, Frank’s curiosity brings him to explore the mysteries with Joe. The curiosity of mine drove me to the end of the page until they manage to discover the truth. Frank’s great effort is the symbolize of my determination to achieve success in my life.
